The Molonglo Water Dragons brought the heat at the Australian Masters Games in Canberra.

What an incredible weekend!

Our Molonglo Water Dragons were all fired up at the Australian Masters Games in Canberra. Seven of us took on 40 individual events and 8 relays over two massive days and we brought home a serious haul of medals.

We couldn’t have done it without our two amazing volunteers: Chief Timekeeper David Leake and our very own Chef/Timekeeper Carol Croce, who kept us fuelled with homemade gluten-free cookies and carrot cake. Absolute legends.

There were 260 swimmers in total, all ages, all abilities, and the atmosphere was pure joy. The most moving part for me was seeing some of our older swimmers leave their walking frames behind, step up onto the blocks with help, and dive in like it was yesterday. It was such a reminder that swimming truly is the best medicine for life.
