Most people wouldn’t even dip a toe into water below 5°C, but Molonglo Water Dragons swimmers Chris Loose and Paul Dailey took on the ultimate cold-water challenge, swimming a full 1,609 metres in the icy waters of Thredbo Pondage!
Not to be outdone, Kyle Sheffield tackled the half-mile challenge. With a thick layer of ice needing to be cleared before anyone could enter the water, this was no ordinary swim. Supported by dedicated club members, rescue crews, St John Ambulance and officials from the International Ice Swimming Association, these incredible swimmers pushed their physical and mental limits in one of swimming’s most extreme challenges.
Could you survive the Ice Mile?
